Lumite is a sleep aid that is somewhat new to the market, when compared to many others that can be found on the market shelves. The formula that makes up this product brings together a number of different natural ingredients, such as amino acids and herbs, that the manufacturer says are well known for helping people to be able to fall asleep more quickly and easily. It was also designed to help people to be able to stay sleeping, once they have fallen asleep.
In this way, the Luminite sleep aid could be helpful in being able to overcome mild to moderate levels of insomnia and other types of sleep disorder, for some people.
At the time that this review was written, there were eight active ingredients that made up the complete formula for this product. The official website for these pills listed the ingredients as: GABA (gamma aminobutyric acid), melatonin, passion flower leaf, hops flower extract, skullcap herb, chamomile flower, L-glycine, and L-tryptophan LT-ONE™.
All of those ingredients are well known and commonly used in the over the counter sleep aid industry. GABA is a substance that is known to help to decrease levels of anxiety at night that could be keeping people awake. Melatonin is a hormone naturally produced by the body to indicate that it is time to go to bed. It is the substance behind a person’s “internal clock” for being awake and asleep. L-tryptophan is a substance that can help to boost a person’s natural ability to produce their own melatonin. Passion flower, hops, and chamomile are all herbs that are frequently associated with calming effects and mild sedation. Skullcap, on the other hand, is an herb that is known to boost the sedative effects of other natural ingredients.
As a new product, there is a limited online presence for Luminite. This also means that the number of customers that have left any feedback are limited, as there hasn’t been all that much time in which they could do so. Moreover, the official website fails to provide any substantial evidence to support the claims that it has made about the product’s effectiveness.
One bottle of Luminite contains 30 capsules and, at the time of the writing of this review, it was being sold for $24.99 at GNC. This is slightly pricey for a product of this nature, particularly considering that products containing melatonin typically need to be taken on a regular basis in order to work well.
